Jail Volunteer Application Forms

You must be approved by the authorities to do volunteer work in jails and prisons. To be cleared, you need to have at least a year clean with no felony convictions for at least three years. You cannot be on probation, or have been institutionalized in the past two years. This is checked with fingerprints eventually so be honest.
